Rita Lenane-Massey
Rita Lenane-Massey is the Firm’s Senior Associate. Rita represents individuals in executive compensation disputes, negotiates severance packages, and conducts mediations as well as litigates employment-related claims in federal and state court, before administrative bodies such as FINRA and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and in arbitration. Rita’s broad litigation experience includes drafting complaints, conducting discovery, drafting and arguing motions, and engaging in settlement negotiation. She has served as second chair at trial and conducted witness examinations.
Before joining Grubin Law Group, Rita was an associate with Barton LLP as a general litigation associate focusing on employment, family law and corporate litigation. Previously, she practiced employment litigation at firms such as Wigdor LLP and Katz Melinger LLP. While in law school, Rita served as a judicial intern for the Hon. Ronald L. Ellis, Magistrate Judge for the Southern District of New York.
Rita is a graduate of Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where she was graduated magna cum laude and was selected for membership in the Order of the Coif. She also served as an Associate Editor of the Cardozo Journal of Conflict Resolution. She is a graduate of McGill University.
